Ruth's Vital Petition - I've Signed...Have You?

We are incredibly encouraged by the growing support for Ruth Lue-Quee's vital petition to make Play and Continuous Provision statutory in England's Key Stage 1 Curriculum, which has now reached 56,900 signatures! This momentum brings us closer to our goal of 100,000 signatures, which is required for the petition to be considered for a debate in Parliament.

Ruth, the founder of My Mummy Teacher and MMT Play, is on a mission to ensure all children learn through play, empowering both parents and professionals to achieve this.

The petition aims to extend the successful play-based pedagogy seen in Early Years into Key Stage 1, arguing that this developmentally appropriate approach is how young children learn best and allows them to thrive.

To help us continue to build this crucial engagement and community, we have created a special badge, available for download on our site, that promotes and advertises your support for this movement. By displaying this badge, you can proudly show that you have signed the petition and encourage others to join us in championing a reformed education system where children's play is valued as a crucial right, not just a 'nice to have'.

Your action helps us get our voice heard and push for the change our children deserve.
